5-Day Simien Mountains Trekking Adventure

• Morning: Drive from Gondar to Debark (approx. 3 hours). Meet your local guides and obtain park permits.
• Afternoon: Begin trekking from Debark to Sankaber (approx. 3–4 hours). Hike through highland farmland and see sweeping views of the valleys.
• Evening: Camp at Sankaber. Enjoy dinner prepared by your trekking crew.

Highlights: Highland views, Gelada monkey sightings, traditional Ethiopian dinner by campfire.

• Trek for around 5–6 hours along dramatic escarpments. Pass stunning waterfalls, such as the Jinbar Falls.

• A scenic loop trek (6–7 hours total). Hike to Imet Gogo, a spectacular viewpoint offering panoramic views over the Simien range.
• Continue to Seha and Kedadit, ideal spots for rest, photography, and appreciating the remote beauty of the highlands.
• Return to Geech Camp for a second night.

• Trek to Chennek Camp (6–7 hours), one of the best places to spot the rare and endangered Walia Ibex, found only in the Simien Mountains.
• The trail features steep ascents and descents but rewards with beautiful plateaus and wildlife sightings.

Highlights: Walia Ibex, alpine meadows, diverse landscapes.

• Enjoy a short morning hike near Chennek to spot more wildlife.
• Drive back to Debark and onward to Gondar.

Highlights: Final scenic views, farewell to the highlands, optional celebratory lunch in Gondar.
